Welcome

Hi there! I’m glad you’re here (:

My name is Frances Farmer. I am an 18 year old and I am currently a sophomore in college. I plan to major in a degree I created by combining journalism and marketing. I believe these are the tools I will need to achieve my dream of becoming a writer. This blog will also prepare me for a future in writing and advertising my writing. I figure the best way to learn is hands-on, so here I am!

I plan to transition to make this blog solely about stress relief because it is a big part of my life. Stress is everywhere. There’s no escaping it. The only thing you can change is the way you react to it. Personally, I do not handle stress well and have even developed a disorder in reaction to it. Trichotillomania is the almost irresistible urge to pull out one’s own hair and it has been my response to stress for about 7 years now. It is a touchy subject, but I believe I can overcome it. Not only will I overcome my disorder, but I will help others along the way get past their unhealthy reactions to stress. Handling stress isn’t something that is really openly discussed and taught in American society; however, I plan to change this demographic one post at a time.

I want to share the stress relievers and modes of thought I use with anyone who needs them. Yoga has been an incredible addition to my life and has greatly reduced my stress. As a result, I am a calmer person overall. Meditation has also helped me control any negative responses to stress and now I stop and think before I react in any situation. Of course, I also rely heavily on writing to express myself and lower my stress level. My source of stress relievers is constantly growing since I’m always on the lookout for more.

Help me help you! If you have any questions, anything to share, or wish to contact me, please email me at frances.aurora@gmail.com. Thank you.

Be the change you wish to see in the world
