Don’t Assume.

In Advice on November 8, 2012 at 10:28 pm

As the saying goes, assuming makes an *** out of you and me. So just don’t do it. Don Miguel Ruiz puts it more eloquently than I ever could in his book, “The Four Agreements.” He says, “The problem with making assumptions is that we believe that they are the truth…We assume that others think the way we think, feel the way we feel, judge the way we judge…”

His advice is to simply ask, ask the questions you want the answers to instead of assuming that the situation will end up the way you think it will. You may be surprised at the results.
