Go green, literally!
When I was at my sister’s house, she made this green smoothie made of spinach, banana, yogurt, and various other healthy things every morning pretty much. It looked a little iffy, but it tastes great and it’s good for you! Now, I’m back in Georgia and I decided to make my own version, so here it is:
Spinach (however much desired; you won’t taste it, I promise!)
1 pckg. Organic Soy Yogurt (or almondmilk yogurt or any you can get your hands on)
One banana
Half a scoop of Protein Powder (or any vitamin powder really or none at all if that’s not your thing; forgot to take a picture, sorry!)
Half a can of Coconut Water
Optional:
Handful of strawberries, blueberries, or any other fruit you can think of
Serves 1
1) Remove stems from spinach.
2) If you have a sucky blender like mine, you may end up having to dice the spinach beforehand to avoid green specks in your teeth afterwards.
3) Combine diced spinach, yogurt, and coconut water in blender. Blend until green specks or no longer visible.
4) Add banana and protein powder.
5) Enjoy!

I am extremely impressed with your writing talents as
smartly as with the layout to your blog. Is that
this a paid topic or did you modify it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality
writing, it’s rare to peer a nice blog like this one these days..
Thank you! It isn’t. My sister always made this drink, so I thought I’d post about my own.
Green smoothies are contagious! This is awesome! Make ppl taste it 🙂
I’ve been trying! It scares people. Maybe if it was pink, people would be more open lol
My brother enjoys his green smoothies, but I’m still a little dubious… I like the fruit additions though; that would certain make it easier for me to drink!
It doesn’t taste green, lol. You should give it a try!
I will, eventually! Maybe once the weather warms up; right now I’m really craving hot chocolate and tea!
Tea is good! (:
I really like my spiced herbal tea… I’m obsessed with cinnamon!
That actually sounds really good! I’m a little jealous over here, lol.
My favorite is the Good Earth Original. It’s sold at nearly every grocery store, so maybe you can find it! (I also used it to make fluffy pancakes a few weeks back, if that sounds appealing too. :])
I’ll have to look out for it! (: thank you! Tea for pancakes? Interesting. Thanks for the tip. I love pancakes!
It’s in a light yellow package, so it should stand out a little on the grocery shelf! :] Here’s my recipe, if you’re interested: http://wp.me/p18CG9-Fd It’s really easy, just mix and cook!
Omg, they look so yummy. I’ll be sure to try it. Thank you!
My pleasure. I’m excited to hear what you think if you try them! (But no pressure! :])
